What is the only real difference between Batman and Superman?

Batman is a internassionalt rich man who considers himself always better than all accredited in the world. Batman
He was born as a millionaire heiress - who aspires to become a god.

Superman's only capacity not inhuman is his humility and mutual respect for all other species around them. Superman
He was born as a god - only struggling to become more human.

Which is a very important lesson.

Therefore, I prefer him. Hug

And as always Batman wins by cheating. Well, from the 9 times they've met, only 2 times has Batman succeeded on taking him down, and even when Superman was suppressing nearly all his power in order to not harm his best friend of planet Earth. Seriously, every time these two fight, it's just about Batman being a dick to Superman, who is just a nice guy to everyone.

Ok 2 things on those comments.

Number 1 By cheating?

OK let me put it this way

Super powered alien who basically is a god Vs A Human

that's your idea of a fair fight?

And Number 2 Batman being a dick?

well as king-krown said batman is a dick to everyone don't think superman is any more special.

Not too mention that most times they have fought Superman is under some form of mind control and batman just seeks to free him from it.

And yes Superman Is very very susceptible to mind control even though he's supposed to be trained to resist it.

Magic is one of his many weaknesses, and fairly enough magic is nearly everyone's weakness. I don't see how that makes him more of a dick than Batman. Just because he's slightly more naive and kind?

Batman Doesn't have the advantages of superman's power to have such a laid back attitude not to mention the constant trauma that he has permanently scared into his brain with the death of his parents shot right in front of him as a child.

Batman Grew up with alot of hate and vengeance in his heart over those events But in time has learned to control them and overcome them for the greater good.

Not to mention batman takes a lot of things he's done in his fight against crime and its consequences as a personal failure on his part and takes it pretty damn heavily.

Examples such as jokers condition being somewhat his fault, Bat woman's/oracle's leg condition, Jason todds death, Harvey dent becoming two face (All so far steming from the creation of the joker lol) and these are just some things he carries on his shoulders as if it was fully his fault

And believe it or not but batman is actually not as bad a guy as other believe him to be and he does consider alot of the JLA his friend.

Yeah... All of those things, Superman went through them as well. But at least Superman can ignore and forget them. Batman is already wearing a costume that says "I'm tragic, cry at me".

Superman Didn't watch his parents die he discovered that at an older age along with all his powers.

Sure his situation is also tragic but at least he had a childhood and a family with the Clark's taking care of him threw the years and he even considers them his parents after the discovery.

Not to mention he hasn't had any time to even get remotely attached to his real parents who died on krypton.

Batman Literately saw his parents murdered before him at a very young age which would leave a huge Mental scar on anyone.

He had no one other than Alfred his butler who sort of became his father in a sense.

Not to mention batman saw the Killer of his parent (Joe Chill) and even found him when he became the batman and confronted him.

Now let that set in a moment He Knew his parents killer, Now that instantly would put to things into you a lot of hate and rage.

Bruce grew up with this kind of hate and anger and vengeance in his heart swearing that one day he would avenge them.

And after all the training he went through and goals he set then finally on to the streets and bringing justice down on the criminals of gotham.

He went through a lot of moral dilemmas with his one rule of Don't kill anyone as it would make him no better than the criminals he is bringing to justice.

Now we get to the part of Joe Chill The man who killed his parents and batman meeting him.

And when he did find him across several different versions he is on the verge of killing Joe chill but spares him dues to the belief it would make him no better and memory of his father's morals in Bruce's mind.

Batman is not all I'm tragic cry for me No that is not the whole point of it.

The point that Batman represents is that struggle of fighting evil without falling into evil yourself and Batman walks that thin line but remains true to his cause and it has its consequences and it can be seen throughout
Batman's life and stories.

He brings justice from the Darkness whilst being uncorrupted by it.

Superman on the other hand killed the man who killed his father (General Zod) and as he stands on a high point of goody good it is easier for him to fall to dark ways from time to time as seen in the comics, movies and T.V. shows he's been in.

Clark's/Kal-El's father left behind that A.I construct which is present is also in comics,Being an A.I,It's can only do/tell him so much, that's a constant reminder of who he lost, but Superman doesn't brood over it.

"Superman on the other hand killed the man who killed his father (General Zod) and as he stands on a high point of goody good it is easier for him to fall to dark ways from time to time as seen in the comics, movies and T.V. shows he's been in."

This is silly,You're going off movies, Superman Killed Zod and Batman killed Dent. More importantly, They BOTH did it to save a family. They didn't do it out of vengeance.

Also,When has Superman fallen into "dark ways"? Dark Knight & Injustice are not canon by the way.

On top of that,I have no Idea why people think "killing" makes you just as bad.
If you kill Joker, the man who's killed and tortured countless people, A man who makes it so genuinely GOOD people can't walk this earth, how can am I/you/Batman just as bad for killing him? It doesn't.

"

...No, That is literally the same thing any hero who does not kill goes through. Batman is not special with this.

The Avengers kills,Some X-men kill and they are still good guys. ESPECIALLY Cap who the DC equivalent to Superman in terms of Morality & Character.

I'm sure superman did kill zod in the comics at some point or was that old cannon? Either way I was not actually referring to the movies  but they are under DC official seal So its a version of him I guess lol.

Yeah I may have not said it right but the point is that anyone can kill. Its harder to not

Not the fact that killing is exactly a bad thing but its certainly not the best option and the point of batman is he doesn't do it as he believes you can fight it without resorting to it and it is a cowardly way to fight and sets a poor example as it takes it from being about justice and more about revenge.

Am not saying batman hasn't killed but he certainly acts more heavily against it.

As for the likes of Cap well you need to remember that cap is a soldier and will resort to that kind of training first along with the fact he is no where near as strong as supes.

Killing doesn't make you a bad guy but then again it depends on the circumstances I guess.

We can batter this thing back and forth but in the end it doesn't really matter what we think its what the characters think.

Batman thinks killing is bad then ok I guess that's his code doesn't mean hes not gonna fuck you up.

Oh and when I said that superman killed zod I was using it more as an example of who hold more restraint under that level of anger.

But in the end I don't really care too much the characters are all awesome and I love them all

They are not going to have Batman kill Superman sadly. They added more to the title to clear up any misunderstandings. The death of Superman is a movie I would like to see. If Ben Affleck DID kill off Superman in the film I would instantly idolize him and all the writers who went into making that film.

that would be a bad move on WB and DCs part if anything like killing off a franchise character were to occur. Most people would rather see them fighting side by side rather than spend too much time having them settle their differences.

I would have to kindly disagree with you there on a small point. There has been a great story of Batman taking on Superman. They could tell that story and people will understand. It would be like a one shot similar to Bryan Singer's Superman Returns. It could happen. Would the people see it as cannon? No. People would watch it for entertainment.
But of course the powers that be want to copy what Marvel is doing to make a buck so of course they will be fighting side by side. I still want to watch them fight and it makes sense they would after all of the destruction Superman caused in the last film.

That wouldn't make sense at all, Superman didn't cause it himself. Zod did. Even far as the fight goes,Zod threw him into the buildings.
What Story do you speak of by the way? In my opinion there has never been a good story of them fighting.

Why I dislike the premise of BvS is Batman has been reduced to a butthurt-idiot,when he is supposed to be the greatest detective of all time. The World was invaded by 3 Super-beings,along with their World-Engine and Batman seemingly knows nothing of it, or doesn't care.
There is not a single comic when Batman's 1st reaction is to instantly Kill another hero because they are strong.

Well, again, that would be a bad move for WB and DC business-wise because of the last part of your message. I agree that a one shot would be amazing to see though.
